Ian Newton is the Managing Director of IN business support and has over 20 years’ experience working with charities, social enterprises, and voluntary sector organisations. He has spent more than 11 years in Chief Executive roles, leading organisations through growth and change while working closely with Boards, Trustees, and key stakeholders.
Ian has a strong track record in developing business and fundraising strategies, securing funding and contracts from local authorities and government departments, and supporting organisations to build sustainable income streams. His work includes writing successful funding bids and tenders, mentoring CEOs, delivering Board and staff training, and providing practical support around governance, financial management, and accreditation.
Having led organisations himself, Ian understands the challenges facing the voluntary and community sector. His approach is supportive, practical, and tailored, helping organisations strengthen their foundations and plan confidently for the future.
